He Puts theiTeeth In Terror
A pair of college students driving coast to coast are lured off the main highway and on to a deserted Texas road. Here they are stalked by the menacing Leatherface and his demented family...a bizarre cannibalistic clan with blood on their hands and a feast on their minds. Their only chance for escape is a survivalist with enough firepower to blast Leatherface and the rest of the grizzly predators to hell. A nice unrated cut of the film - 3.25 out of 5 (9/15/2003)
Wow, what a difference a few years makes.
When Leatherface originally was released to the theater, there was a huge backlash to the violence shown in the film. Critics hated the film, audiences didn't understand it and screenwriter David Schow vowed never to work with the producers again.
You see the movie filmed was a lot different from the script he turned in and had it been used, then the film would have surely been shut down and never released because his original version was even mo

Fans of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will enjoy this excellent transfer of Leatherface. Loaded with features and plenty of horror action.

Right from the opening frames,the film just oozes a dark mean spirited sinister tone!
While it had a troubled production & the original gruesome sick offensive script barely made it to the screen & the MPAA butchured what gore they did film. It is surprising a decent film still came out of it,which is a testement to a skillful director & editor.
